What are "phases" in Bid For Power
DBZ: Bid For Power is being developed in phases, the idea of phases is that in Dragonball Z the show progresses through sagas. As the sagas progress more and more characters are introduced and we’ve come up with our own concept of sagas we like to call "Phases". We will be releasing Bid For Power in phases. Each phase will have brand new Characters, Attacks, Levels, Music, and new styles of Gameplay and each phase will be compatible with previous phases.

When will Bid For Power be released?
We hope to release Bid For Power soon but until we have a set release date our answer is, and always has been, "When its done"
What platform(s) will Bid For Power be released on?
Bid For Power will be released for Windows and Macintosh. We will not be porting Bid For Power to any console.
Will there be permanent landscape damage (i.e. crash through mountains, craters.)?
One of the limitations of the Quake 3 engine is that it can not support permanent landscape damage without severe impact on people's machines. With that in mind we have decided not to include permanent landscape damage.
When you die, will you lose all of your Ki?
When a player dies he or she will restart at the previous Tier level they began at.
Will Bid For Power be in third person or first person?
Players will have the choice of either using third or first person view mode perspectives.
How fast will the player speeds be?
Players will have the ability to dramatically increase their speeds by using their own Ki.
Will you have controllable attacks?
Yes, there will be a variety of attacks and we will be using controllable attacks.
Will Saiyajins have more of an advantage?
All characters are balanced and no one character has an advantage over another. The only difference between characters are their attacks, but each attack has been balanced so that no attack is has huge difference when compared to another.
Will there be a character limit?
The character limit will be up to the server, we won't set it ourselves.
Are the animations going to be just like in the show?
Yes, the animations will be as close to the show as possible and all the attacks as well will be from the show.
Will this mod be using Japanese or American dubbed voices?
We will be using the best samples wether it be in american or japanese.
Are you going to have an intro movie?
No we will not.
How do I create models??
We can't give you instructions on how to create models but we can point out a few websites that can. Polycount is an excellent resource for learning how to model. Polycount has some good tutorials that can help get newbies the experience they need. And before you ask no we can't not individual train you in how to create models, sorry but there just isn't enough time

Are there anyother Dragonball Z mods?
Yes there are several different mods based on Dragonball Z for the Quake engine as well as other games. To get a complete list of all the other Dragonball Z mods please take the time to visit Planet Nameks mod section and you will notice several mods under production that are DBZ oriented, although most of them have yet to be finished. The Planet Namek team has given there own descriptions/opinions of each mod
Will we have to repeatedly slam on a key for attacks?
There will not be any features in bid for power that require button mashing, or repeatedly tapping a key.
Will there be weapons or will you use Ki attacks?
Bid For Power will use all Ki based attacks that are used through hand attacks. There will be NO guns
What are power struggles and will they be in the game?
Yes we will be incorporating power struggles. For those of you that aren't familiar with a power struggle a power struggle is when two players both launch Ki attacks at eachother and the Ki blasts both hit head on then the players would then be caught in a power struggle where they would try and over power eachother by tapping as much power into there blasts
Why are you working on both Phase I and Phase II?
The reason we are able to work on both Phase I and Phase II simultaniously is because we are only working on the skins and models for phase II and not the levels or programming of phase II. We have additional modelers and skin artists who, if they weren't working on phase II, would have no work to do. The phase I models are currently being worked on by Mooky and Pyrofragger while the phase II models are being worked on by NilreMK and Rodney. Without the phase II work both Rodney and NilreMK would have no models to work on and that is why we have already begun work on phase II. Not because we are getting ahead of ourselves but because it is the most productive way of developing Bid For Power
How will melee work?
Right now we are trying to keep quiet on the melee system of Bid For Power. As with the quake engine the main fighting will come from the form of ki attacks but we are incorporating a melee system right now though we have yet to release any detailed information about it. There will be two different types of melee attacks, close range and mid-range attacks.
Will you be adding more phases later on
Yes we will but at this time I can't say which characters will be included.
Will characters be allowed to transform?
Most characters will be able to like sayijins (i.e. hair changes) and freeza (i.e. body mass increases) but for characters whose body doesn't change like krillin and your gohan no there will be no transformation for them.
Can I test Bid For Power?
No. We are testing Bid For Power ourselves but thanks for wanting to get involved.
Will Bid For Power have it's own music?
Yes. You can listen to some previews of Chala Head Chala and Rock The Dragon - both by Yngwie. And read Remisser's journal for links to the inmap music.
Will there be any more models we can download?
We have only released our Vegeta and Android #16 models and as of now we will not be releasing anyother models seperate from Bid For Power
Are the rumors about Yrgol true?
Can I join Bid For Power?
We are always looking for new members. If you are interested in joining you must have some prior experience (but not neccessarily commercial). Successful applicants will have good range of samples demonstrating their abilities. Please include portfolio URL in your email.
What are the system requirements on Bid For Power?
The system requirements on Bid For Power are the same as Quake III but we suggest that players have an ample amount of RAM.
